Air France has opened a new lounge at Chicago O'Hare International Airport, marking its first such facility at the airport. The lounge, located in Terminal 5, began welcoming guests on October 17, 2025. It is operated in partnership with Global Lounge Network and is available to Air France Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers, as well as eligible KLM travelers.
The space covers nearly 470 square meters and can accommodate up to 105 guests. It operates daily from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Large bay windows provide natural light and views of the runways. The design was developed by Air France teams together with SGK Brandimage and incorporates the airline’s signature colors—blue, white, and red—as well as historic symbols like the winged seahorse.
"The lounge reflects the world of the airline with the use of its logo, the winged seahorse - its historic symbol - and posters illustrating its rich heritage," according to Air France.
A central feature of the lounge is a catering area that offers French-style cuisine throughout the day. The menu includes hot and cold dishes such as beef bourguignon, country-style chicken, chocolate mousse with caramel cream, and vegetarian options. Air France states it prioritizes local and seasonal produce for sustainability while working to limit food waste.
"To create a tasty menu with a more sustainable approach, Air France favors local and seasonal produce, while paying particular attention to limiting food waste and sorting and recycling catering items," according to an Air France statement.
A bar area offers champagne, French wines, spirits, and can be staffed or self-service. There is also an exclusive section for Flying Blue Ultimate customers that provides additional privacy.
Other amenities include private relaxation areas facing the runways, workspaces equipped with power outlets and USB ports, TV screens, free Wi-Fi access, phone booths for calls, eligibility kiosks at entry points for easy access control, and digital press through the Air France Press app.
"This space guarantees everyone's privacy while providing easy access to all the available services," said Air France about its dedicated Flying Blue Ultimate section.
During winter operations this year, Air France will operate up to seven weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and Chicago O’Hare using Airbus A350 aircraft. More information is available at airfrance.fr.
