Chicago proposes $32 million in TIF funding for improvements at five city parks

Five park improvement projects across Chicago could receive over $32 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) support under proposals presented to the City Council by Mayor Brandon Johnson on October 16, 2025. The TIF assistance is intended to cover all construction costs for each of the five projects.
