Homan Square Community Center Park, located in North Lawndale, is set to receive upgrades following the approval of $600,000 in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance by the Chicago City Council. The funding will be used to enhance the park's playground and add new features such as an outdoor fitness circuit and a walking path.

The improvements are part of a project managed by the Chicago Park District at 3517 W. Arthington St. All project costs will be covered through funds allocated from the Homan/Arthington TIF district.
