Pullman Hotel Group LLC is planning to build a 100-room hotel at 11030 S. Doty Ave. East in the Pullman neighborhood. The proposed development would be supported by a $2.9 million Tax Increment Financing (TIF) grant, according to a proposal submitted to City Council by Mayor Brandon Johnson.

The hotel is intended to replace 2.6 acres of vacant land and provide accommodations for visitors to local attractions such as the Pullman National Monument, Pullman Community Center, and the Pullman Park mixed-use campus, along with other destinations on Chicago’s Far South Side.

The total cost of the project is estimated at $30.9 million, and it is expected to create 25 permanent jobs once completed. Funding for the project would come from the North Pullman and Lake Calumet Area Industrial TIF district.
