Deputy Mayor Beatriz Ponce de León will also participate along with representatives from 52 foreign consulates representing six continents.
The discussion aims to share insights from countries represented by the Consular Corps while identifying ways in which Chicago can adopt international best practices that support economic growth, innovation, and cultural exchange.
A proclamation designating “Chicago Consular Corps Appreciation Day” will be presented by Mayor Johnson during the event. The CCC consists of over 80 consulates in Chicago. Its mission includes safeguarding members’ interests and promoting cooperation with government authorities as well as fostering friendly relations with business communities and civic organizations.
