Chicago Transit Authority Board Finance Audit and Budget Committee met Sept. 13.

Here is the agenda provided by the Committee:

MINUTES: Finance Audit and Budget Committee. September 13th, 2017.

NOTICED for 12:00 PM; Commenced at 12:10 PM.

ROLL CALL: Present: Committee Chairman Silva, Irvine, Peterson, Alva Rosales, Youngblood, and Miller. There was a quorum of six committee members present.

COMMITTEE ACTION: The committee reviewed the Finance report and approved the August 9th, 2017 committee minutes.

Then, after extensive review by the committee, Chairman Silva asked for a motion to place the recommended approved items on the omnibus for Board approval. The recommended items included all agenda items.

After the motion was moved and seconded, the motion was approved with six yes votes. The recommended omnibus contained the following items:

1 An ordinance authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Chicago through its Office of the City Clerk for the purchase and use of Open Standards Fare System Cards for municipal identification and fare payment.

2 An ordinance consenting to the assignment of two leases for property located at 1200-08 West Loyola Avenue and 1117 West Granville Avenue, Chicago, Illinois (Red Line).

3 An ordinance authorizing a memorandum of understanding with Preservation of Affordable Housing, LLC for conceptual design work for improvements at the Cottage Grove Station (Green Line).

4 An ordinance authorizing an agreement with Norfolk Southern Railway Company for preliminary engineering and real estate services for the Red Line Extension.

5 An ordinance authorizing funding for the exercise of an option to extend Contract No. B12OP04206 with Genuine Parts Company d/b/a/ NAPA.

6 An ordinance authorizing the purchase of blanket railroad protective liability insurance for policy year November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2018.

7 An ordinance authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Chicago through its Department of Transportation for reimbursement of costs incurred by the Chicago Transit Authority for the expansion of Midway Airport Parking Garage.

MOTION TO ADJOURN: Chairman Silva asked for a motion to adjourn the Finance, Audit, and Budget committee meeting of September 13th, 2017. After the motion was moved, the motion was approved by unanimous voice vote.
