Cost of college went up for all students at DePaul University

Tuition and fees rose 3.7 percent for 2017-18 at DePaul University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $39,010 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $1,384 more than the $37,626 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 2,407 students received grants or scholarships totaling $45.94 million and 1,490 students took out student loans totaling more than $10.23 million.

Including all undergraduates, 12,865 students used grants or scholarships totaling $267.78 million. Another 8,973 took out $63.08 million in federal student loans.
