File8961344864745

City Rock issued the following announcement on July 17.

The Rock Island Library will host two "Coffee & Community Conversations" aimed at gaining public input into how it can meet four primary objectives in its Strategic Plan for 2019-22.

Working sessions aimed at adding input into the Strategic Plan will be held:

Tuesday, July 24 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, in the Rock Island Downtown Library Community Room, 401 19th Street, and

Thursday, July 26, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm at the Rock Island Southwest Library Community Room, 9010 Ridgewood Road.

Library staff will quickly summarize what they learned from Community Conversations and Quad Cities Big Table talks on community aspirations earlier this year, how they arrived at four primary objectives for the plan, and then hold a working session on how the library can work to better our community through targeted library objectives and priorities.

The public is invited to attend either session to add their thoughts and ideas into the plan. The strategic plan helps the library determine how to best focus its resources.
