75 percent of applicants to Saint Xavier University were admitted for fall 2017

At Saint Xavier University, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 3,715 students in fall 2017, including 2,942 in undergraduate and 773 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (41 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (38 percent).

The school admitted 75 percent of the 7,331 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 11 percent enrolled.
