Former Loyola and Simeon Career Academy star Donte Ingram has inked a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Chicago Tribune reports Ingram will join the Mavs in training camp later this fall and the Exhibit 10 agreement allows Dallas the option of converting it into a two-way pact where he could be assigned to the franchise’s Texas Legends, G League team.

After sparking the Ramblers to their first Final Four appearance in more than five decades, Ingram turned heads earlier this summer competing with his hometown Chicago Bulls summer league team in Las Vegas. The 6-foot-6 swingman, who went un-drafted, earned a starting position with the team and posted 13 points, four assists and two rebounds in one game.

“The draft isn’t the end of the world for me,” Ingram told the Tribune.  “I know that only 60 people can get drafted. There have been plenty of un-drafted players that have gone on to have great success, so I don’t let that faze me. I know what I’m capable of. So I just look forward to working and making a team.”

Ingram said he is quite excited about the possibilities in Dallas.

“I have some great memories there from the NCAA tournament in March and I want to keep that momentum rolling,” he said.

Over his four-year career, Ingram has averaged 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists at Loyola
