The campaign committee of judge candidate John C Benson, JB for Judge, returned a $7,563.37 contribution from John Benson on May 25, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Benson has not made any other contributions to John C Benson in the past 12 months.
