Chicago mayor candidate Rahm Emanuel returns $2,500 contribution from Aberdeen Construction Co., Inc.

The campaign committee of Chicago mayor candidate Rahm Emanuel, Chicago for Rahm Emanuel, returned a $2,500 contribution from Aberdeen Construction Co., Inc. on Jan. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Aberdeen Construction Co., Inc. has not made any other contributions to Rahm Emanuel in the past 12 months.
