Chicago mayor candidate Rahm Emanuel returns $2,500 contribution from Ford Motor Company Civic Action Fund

The campaign committee of Chicago mayor candidate Rahm Emanuel, Chicago for Rahm Emanuel, returned a $2,500 contribution from Ford Motor Company Civic Action Fund on Jan. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Ford Motor Company Civic Action Fund has not made any other contributions to Rahm Emanuel in the past 12 months.
