Riverdale/Altgeld Gardens home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Riverdale/Altgeld Gardens, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $31,500 while total sales decreased by 14.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $42,500 - a 286.4% increase over the $11,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Riverdale/Altgeld Gardens in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Riverdale/Altgeld Gardens for 2017 was $1,146. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,066. This marks an increase of 7.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
