Illinois General Assembly: HR121 Assigned to Energy & Environment Committee

The following action was taken on March 12 in the House on House bill HR121 ("lead service lines"): "Assigned to Energy & Environment Committee."

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Ann M. Williams (D-11) on Feb. 14, "urges every Illinois municipality that utilizes lead service lines to develop a plan to minimize the risk of lead exposure to its residents by developing a plan consisting of short and long-term steps to fully eliminate lead pipes from its drinking water systems," according to the General Assembly website.

The following house representatives also co-sponsored the bill: John C. D'Amico (D-15), Sonya M. Harper (D-6) and Nicholas K. Smith (D-34).
