Chicago Area Gay An Lesbian Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Feb. 25.
The Office of the City Treasurer of the City of Chicago is hosting its first-ever town hall meetings to ensure residents have an opportunity to learn how their taxpayer dollars are invested and to highlight the various economic development initiatives and resources offered by the Office in 2020.
This will inlcude Dollars & Sen$e: North Side Neighborhood Banking & Lending on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 10am - 12pm at Albany Park Library
Our Community Town Hall will introduce the Treasurer's 2020 economic development plan as well as highlight successes from 2019. Additionally, there will be a banking panel that will feature local lenders and community partners, LISC, Accion, US Bank and Albany Bank, who will their share available resources, what it takes to secure a business loan, as well as how to participate in the City's small business programs. A copy of the flier describing the Dollar & Sense series is attached hereto in pdf and jpg format.
Treasurer Conyears-Ervin is deeply committed to financial transparency and believes each resident should truly understand how the City invests taxpayer dollars as well as how the Office of the City Treasurer helps to drive social impact across the City.
