93 percent of applicants to VanderCook College of Music were admitted for fall 2018

At VanderCook College of Music, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 146 students in fall 2018, including 107 in undergraduate and 39 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

85 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 8 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (36 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 93 percent of the 29 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 48 percent enrolled.
