Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Midwestern Career College

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Midwestern Career College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $11,420 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $10,540 less than the $21,960 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 78 students received grants or scholarships totaling $260,318 and 76 students took out student loans totaling more than $521,286.

Including all undergraduates (537), 517 students used grants or scholarships totaling $2.1 million, and 456 students took out $3 million in federal student loans.
