Pritzker blames Chicago City Wire for daughter, wife relocation to Florida estate

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has blamed Chicago City Wire for his daughter and wife's extended stay at the billionaire’s Florida estate.

Pritzker has a history of making questionable claims about his family’s following — or not following— his mandates.

In response to a question at a press conference today, Pritzker said his wife Mary and daughter Theodora “Teddi” Pritzker were staying in Florida due to attacks from the media.

Last week Chicago City Wire posted a story regarding Teddi flouting executive orders regarding the number of people allowed in a dining party as well as the distance between guests. Pritzker claims his daughter wasn’t in the photo.

Teddi was the subject of another report earlier this year in Prairie State Wire in which it was revealed she has been traveling the country participating in equestrian events in violation of her father's orders regarding sporting activities.

Meanwhile Pritzker disallowed high school football to which thousands of parents protested.

Pritzker has been in a prolonged battle with the Illinois High School Association regarding control of the prep sports schedule. The association in recent weeks has disregarded his  executive orders.

Yesterday Pritzker was non-committal on whether he would abide by a no-travel order put in place by Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.

Lightfoot and Pritzker have been mostly aligned when it comes to locking down vast regions of the state.

The family's $12 million estate in Wellington, Fla., is the equestrian capital of the United States.
