1. Motion that the Village Board waive the rules and consider this the second and final reading of “An Ordinance Granting a Text Amendment under Section 82-56 of The Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois to Add Automobile Sales and Services, New and Used, on an Open Lot or within a Building under 82- 234(b) CC – Commercial Community District Special Uses”.
2. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Ordinance 2020-31; “An Ordinance Granting a Text Amendment under Section 82-56 of The Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois to Add Automobile Sales and Services, New and Used, on an Open Lot or within a Building under 82-234(b) CC – Commercial Community District Special Uses”.
3. 4. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Ordinance 2020-32; “An Ordinance Granting a Special Use Permit under Section 82-234(b) Special Uses of The Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois to allow for Automobile Sales and Services, New and Used, on an Open Lot or within a Building on Part of the Property Commonly Known as PIN: 12-35-301-004, 7200 Harrison Avenue, Rockford, Illinois”.
FINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JEFF O’HARA.
1. Motion that the Village Board approve the bills reviewed and approved by the Budget Director on November 17, 2020 and reviewed and approved by the village trustees present at the November 17, 2020 Village Board Meeting at a total amount of $108,685.09.
PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JEFF FUSTIN.
1. Motion that the Village Board approve the ordering of a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe to replace Squad 1 from Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall, Rockford, Illinois at a cost not to exceed $41,500.00 from line item 5420 Capital Improvements for FY 2021-2022. (This does not include any trade-in allowance).
PUBLIC WORKS REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JIM ALSBURY.
1. Motion that the Village Board approve Public Works Employee Chris Roskopp to participate in the 2020 Illinois Arborist Association Virtual Annual Conference and Trade Show from December 1 to December 4, 2020 at a cost of $150.00 from line item 5195 Public Works.
PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REPORT BY TRUSTEE: David Schroeder.
PERSONNEL REPORT BY TRUSTEE: Sally Hollembeak.
1. Motion that the Village Board approve the hiring of Mr. Mark Zumbragel as a Seasonal Snow Plow Driver for the Village of Cherry Valley at an hourly rate of $20 per hour for the 2020-2021 Winter Season.
2. Motion that the Village Board approve the hiring of a Maintenance Worker 1 (to fill a vacancy within the Public Works Department), at a starting wage of $18.00 per hour pending approval of all pre-employment requirements.
3. Motion that the Village Board approve/acknowledge the village’s agreement with Envision Health Care (a Third-Party Administration Service) remains in place for the year 2021 with a cost of $6.00 per month per employee/retiree.
