Armed Robberies/Retail Thefts 14th, 16th , 17th and 25th Districts

About the crime:

This alert gives notice of recent Armed Robberies and retail thefts of businesses that have occurred within the boundaries of the 14th, 16th, 17th and 25th Districts. In these incidents, the offender entered the store and displayed a weapon or implied that he was armed. The offender then demanded cigarettes and liquor, and fled with said merchandise.

Incident times and locations:

• 4300 block of N. Kimball on August 20 at 4:21 a.m.

• 3500 block of N. Pulaski on August 20 at 4:43 a.m.

• 3100 block of W. Armitage on August 24 at 6:40pm

• 4800 block of W. Fullerton on August 24 at 11:45 p.m.

• 4700 block of W. Belmont on August 25 at 2:37 p.m.

• 3500 block of N. Pulaski on August 29 at 3:14 a.m.

• 4300 block of N. Central on August at 2:12 a.m.

• 4000 block of W. Lawrence on September 15 at 12:30 a.m.

• 2800 block of W. Irving Park Rd. on September 18 at 6:10 a.m.

• 3600 block of W. Belmont on October at 8:04 p.m.

• 3600 block of W. Belmont on October at 3:30 a.m.

• 3500 block of N. Pulaski on October 18 at 12:30 a.m.

About the offender(s):

In JF-438714, two offenders are described as males, 25-35 years old, 5’6”-5’9”, 170-200 lbs., with light brown complexions.

What you can do:

• Do not resist.

• Be aware of this crime and alert other businesses.

• Pay special attention to any suspicious people loitering in the area

• Ensure that existing surveillance cameras are functional.

• Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s),

including any vehicle description and license plate information.
