Armed Robberies 14th District (Shakespeare)

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to residents of the 014th District of recent armed robberies, in which the victims are approached by the offenders who display handguns, point the guns either at victim, state "give me the money" and demand the victim's personal property (wallet, money, jewelry and cellphone). Offenders then punch or slap victims afterwards. Victims seen getting into a black Chrysler 300.

• 1300 Block of North Paulina St on September 11, 2022 @ 3:30 AM

• 1200 Block of North Ashland Ave on September 18, 2022 @ 3:40 AM

• 1200 Block of North Ashland Ave on September 25, 2022 @ 4:05 AM

• 1200 Block of North Ashland Ave on October 16, 2022 @ 3:47 AM

• 1200 Block of North Ashland Ave on October 23, 2022 @ 2:15 AM

Offender Description:

3 male Hispanic subjects, 30-40 years of age, 5'05-5'08, 140-160lbs, wearing dark or all black clothing, armed with handguns

What you can do:

• Be aware of your surroundings and unfamiliar or suspicious people in your area.

• Walk with groups of individuals and do not carry large sums of money.

• Do not try to rationalize or confront offenders, it could lead to possible injury

• Park in well-lit areas and in areas where there is pedestrian and vehicular traffic

• Notify neighbors of this crime pattern. If you see something suspicious, alert police immediately.

• Call 911 immediately if you are a victim or witness to a crime and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) and involved vehicles.
