The Chicago GOP called for firing of WSCR  sports talk radio show producer Shane Riordan after Chicago City Wire reported that Riordan said on the air, "Dan, I’ll have sex with your mother,” referring to the mother of conservative talk show host Dan Proft.

“Dan Proft, you bring your mother over here. I'll bone her. I don't care, dude."

“They should be fired for continuing that discussion for any length of time," the GOP said on Twitter. "How the standards have fallen. Not the quality CBS radio affiliate that was once associated with Edward R. Murrow.”

Riordan made the comments after calling Proft and Amy Jacobsen, hosts of Chicago Morning Answer, “two of the worst people on the face of the planet.” Co-hosts Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel laughed and encouraged him, Chicago City Wire said.

The headline of the City Wire story used the term, "rape," rather than "have sex." Proft's mother passed away in 2014.

Profit addressed the event on Twitter, calling them out for their actions.

"This is where @DannyParkins, after saying he's never heard of me, declares his hatred for me and @amyjacobson. After he tells Amy to leave town @shane_riordan threatens her. Then, these towering intellects offer an attaboy to Shane for saying he wants to have sex w/ my dead mom."

The debacle started when Proft engaged with Riordan on Twitter over Riordan’s comments toward Fox Sports hosts Colin Cowherd and Jason McIntyre and their statements on the state of Chicago.

With no further comments from Riordan or his fellow hosts, Proft tweeted on May 14th, “Happy Mother's Day to the moms in your lives, @shane_riordan, @DannyParkins, @MattSpiegel670. Shane, I'm still waiting for you to honor the invitation you extended and I accepted. You rough-and-tumble sports talkers have been awfully quiet after running your mouths. What gives?”

Former Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass supported Proft. “Like most leftist commentators, they're sniveling cowards @DanProft. Their station @670TheScore has not fired them after they joked on air about raping your late mother, but they'll wish us all #happymothersday2023."
