The producer of a Chicago afternoon sports talk radio show says he would rape the mother of conservative talk host Dan Proft.

Shane Riordan, 31, producer of WSCR-AM 670's "Parkins Spiegel Show," made the comments on-air on Thursday.

It was part of a show segment in which he and the show's two hosts, Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel, criticized Proft as a "dumbass" for comparing Chicago's violence to that of a "war zone."

“Dan, I’ll have sex with your mother,” said Riordan. “Dan Proft, you bring your mother over here. I'll bone her. I don't care, dude."

"Do you like my offer of having sex with Dan Proft's mom?" he said.

Show hosts Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel laughed and agreed with Riordan's statement.

"No, you should," Parkins said.

Riordan said Proft and his co-host, Amy Jacobson, were "two of the worst people on the face of the planet."

"I think that's pretty evident," Riordan said. "I cannot wait to bone his mom."

"I hate them both so much. They are abhorrent. They are horrible, horrible people," Parkins said, adding that Jacobson "should move" out of Chicago.

Spiegel said Jacobson "had better not show her face" in Chicago.

As he made the comments, Parkins wore a t-shirt that said "Keep Chicago outta your mouth," mirroring the Riordan tweet from Wednesday that triggered the fracas.

Riordan had called national Fox Sports hosts Colin Cowherd and Jason McIntyre "uninformed" and "disgusting" for comparing Chicago to "a war zone" and "Afghanistan."

"Keep Chicago out of your f*%@% mouth," wrote Riordan, 31, originally of Schaumburg.

Proft had responded to Riordan's tweet.

"When I say the Chicago sports press corps is inhabited by illiberal popinjays who flack for the New Marxists because they so want to be considered colleagues of the similarly disposed political press corps, it's hysterics like this goof from The Score (WSCR) I'm referencing," he wrote.

Former Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass criticized the WSCR hosts.

"Sports talk station WSCR now jokes about sexually assaulting the mother of Dan Proft. Mrs. Proft died a few years ago," Kass wrote on Twitter. "Oh and Danny Parkins and Matt Spiegel? Happy Mother's Day."

Proft's mother, Carol, died in Aug. 2014.

Parkins, 37, is a Glencoe native and New Trier graduate who attended Syracuse University and worked in Kansas City before returning to Chicago in 2017 for a job at WSCR-AM. He lives in Lincoln Park.

Spiegel, 52, is a New Jersey native who replaced longtime WSCR host Dan McNeil, who was fired in Sept. 2020 for criticizing the ESPN sideline reporter Maria Taylor for being scantily dressed on air.

Taylor is best known for getting what NBA star Stephen Jackson called a "sympathy job to placate Black Lives Matter" in 2020, after the George Floyd riots. She replaced veteran ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols, who is white.

Spiegel previously produced Sound Opinions, "the world's only rock and roll talk show," on WBEZ-FM 91.5. He lives in the South Loop.

According to Illinois State Board of Elections records, Spiegel has voted in one primary election, for Democrats. Parkins is registered to vote, but has never voted. Riordan is not registered to vote.

Parkins & Spiegel runs from 2 p.m to 6 p.m on weekdays.
