Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker's nonprofit organization, Think Big America, has donated $250,000 to Virginia Democrats in anticipation of the state's legislative elections on Nov. 7.

The contributions come as Republicans seek to maintain their hold on the state House and potentially flip the state Senate, which could impact abortion policy in Virginia.

“Protecting reproductive rights is non-negotiable,” Pritzker said on X.

“Let's stand strong for choice on Nov. 7th!”

Think Big America, a nonprofit group affiliated with Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker is donating $250,000 to Virginia Democrats ahead of the state's legislative elections on November 7.

The contributions come as Republicans aim to maintain control of the state House and potentially flip the state Senate, which could impact abortion policy in Virginia.

The funding is being distributed to Democrats in battleground Senate districts and the Democratic Party of Virginia, with Think Big America emphasizing the importance of defending abortion access in the state.

“Abortion access is on the line in Virginia. Given the chance, anti-choice extremists and their far-right allies will roll back reproductive freedoms in the last state in the south where women’s freedoms are still protected," Think Big America's spokesperson Christina Amestoy said.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Pritzker's Think Big America, has contributed a combined $1.5 million to support abortion rights efforts in Ohio, Virginia and Nevada.

In Virginia, the group provided $25,000 each to four state Senate Democratic candidates and an additional $150,000 to the state Democratic party, ahead of a critical Nov. 7 election that could influence abortion restrictions.

Think Big America aims to combat anti-abortion initiatives and "fight extremism at every level," focusing on protecting and expanding abortion rights in states across the country, with a special focus on battleground states and potential abortion ballot questions that may drive Democratic turnout in the upcoming presidential election.

In October, Pritzker announced "Think Big America," a tax-exempt issue advocacy nonprofit organization focused on the pro-abortion movement across the country.

Pritzker is stepping into the national spotlight in what many are saying is a calculated move towards a future bid for the presidency.

The group, categorized as a 501c(4), will not be required to disclose its donors, and its mission extends to combating "far extremism in all its forms" while emphasizing abortion rights as its top priority.
