The Chicago Park District plans to enhance recreational facilities at six parks throughout the city, supported by $28.1 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance. This proposal was presented to the City Council today by Mayor Brandon Johnson.

The City's TIF program utilizes new property tax growth within designated districts to fund public and private investments within those areas.
