Robert’s Pizza & Dough Co. announces partnership with the Chicago Sky

CHICAGO (July 26, 2024) – Robert’s Pizza & Dough Co. has announced a partnership with the Chicago Sky WNBA team at Wintrust Arena. The Streeterville pizzeria will serve as a marketing partner at Chicago Sky home games under a two-year contract covering the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

“We’ve been Sky fans for some time now,” said Robert Garvey, founder of Robert’s Pizza & Dough Co. “Our daughter (Lia) played in middle and high school, and we loved our outings to Sky games (back in the Rosemont days) to watch and follow the teamwork. It’s a great opportunity to be a part of the Sky family and we’re excited for all the fun we’ll have collaborating this season.”

The partnership coincides with Robert’s Pizza's five-year anniversary celebration this summer. The milestone marks over twenty years of dedication, involving passion, vision, teamwork, perseverance, and community support. As a proud Chicago business, Robert’s Pizza has consistently supported local businesses and brands while fostering connections within the community.

“We are thrilled to welcome Robert’s Pizza to the Sky family,” said Alex Teodosi, Chicago Sky’s Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “Pizza is integral to Chicago, and it’s an honor to bring delicious Robert’s Pizza to Skytown while supporting a local business that shares the Sky values of grit, teamwork, perseverance, and community. We can’t wait to try the new Sky Pie!”

As part of the partnership, Robert’s Pizza will provide pies for the team, staff, and media during home games. They will also engage in on-court activations and giveaways. Additionally, Robert’s Pizza will be featured on LED screens and the Jumbotron during home games at Wintrust Arena.

“There’s so much to look forward to with the Chicago Sky this year and we’re grateful to include this partnership in the restaurant’s continued growth,” Garvey added. “We’re launching a Chicago Sky pizza to serve at the restaurant which will debut in late July with a portion of the proceeds benefiting SKY Cares. Our team is excited to attend home games and cheer them on.” Inspired by the Sky Squad's favorite pizza ingredients, the Sky Pie will feature an EVOO base, BBQ chicken, banana peppers, pineapple, mozzarella, edible glitter, and a side of Ranch.

Robert’s Pizza will also host in-restaurant events throughout the Chicago Sky season including watch parties for Olympic basketball games. Located at 465 N. McClurg along Ogden Slip in Streeterville, Robert's Pizza operates Monday through Thursday from 12 pm – 9 pm; Friday from 12 pm – 10 pm; Saturday from 11 am – 10 pm; Sunday from 11 am – 9 pm.
