Dan Proft, host of Chicago Morning Answer, said rural Midwestern voters will be able to see through the Governor Walz's proposed plan to help sway rural counties over to Harris' side. He made the comments on August 7 on X.

"The idea Tim Walz is going to help with so-called 'pivot counties' in the Rust Belt because he wears a ball cap and a t-shirt is consistent with the New Bolsheviks' belief they can fool enough of the people all of the time," said Proft. "Unlike the big city denizens, exurban and rural voters in places like WI can smell manure from a mile away. They'll know exactly what Walz is shoveling when he comes through town."

Kamala Harris announced Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota to be her running mate on August 6, according to Yahoo News.

"It’s true. I’m a veteran, a hunter, and a gun owner," said Gov. Walz. "But I’m also a dad. And for many years, I was a teacher."

JD Vance disputes the manner in which the governor served in military, "you know what really bothers me about Tim Walz? When the US Marine Corps asked me to go to Iraq to serve my country, I did it.  When Tim Walz was asked by his country to go to Iraq, he dropped out of the Army and allowed his unit to go without him. I think that's shameful."

According to FOX News, Gov. Walz was arrested for DUI while he was a 28-year-old high school teacher and football coach. They gained possession of of his booking photo. He was caught speeding over 80 mph and failed a breathalyzer test with a .128 blood-alcohol level. The case ended with a plea deal for reckless driving.

Gov. Walz grew up in rural Nebraska before he moved to Minnesota with his wife. He and his wife use IVF during the process of having kids. He served in the Army National Guard for 24 years before retiring in 2005. He represented Minnesota's 1st district in Congress before being elected governor of the state, according to Yahoo News.
