Chicago returns to the lakefront to take on Supporters’ Shield leaders Inter Miami CF. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT, the match will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass and transmitted locally on 890 WLS-AM (English) and WRTO 1200 AM (Spanish).

The Fire returns to action after coming from behind to tie New York City FC 2-2 with goals from Designated Player Hugo Cuypers and Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutiérrez. Inter Miami CF became the first team to qualify for the postseason with a 2-0 win against FC Cincinnati last Saturday at Chase Stadium.

Frank Klopas has made three changes to the lineup that faced New York City FC on Aug. 24. Gastón Giménez makes his 12th start of the season, and 14th start across all competitions in 2024. Giménez wears the captain’s armband for the eighth straight match across all competitions, including the Fire’s two Leagues Cup 2024 matches against Sporting Kansas City and Deportivo Toluca F.C.

Chris Brady starts for the 26th time in the 2024 MLS regular season. The young netminder has only missed one game due to international duty. Hugo Cuypers starts his 27th game of the regular season, making him the only player to start every MLS match for the Fire in 2024. Cuypers leads the team in goal contributions with ten goals and two assists.

Maren Haile-Selassie starts for the 11th straight regular season match, and his 14th straight match in all competitions for the Fire. Brian Gutiérrez starts his 22nd match of the regular season, and his 24th match across all competitions, for Chicago.

Rafael Czichos starts for his eighth straight regular season match, and his overall 24th match in 2024. Czichos scored his first goal of the season against Inter Miami CF in Chicago's last regular-season match before breaking for Leagues Cup 2024.

Arnaud Souquet starts his tenth straight match, including Chicago’s two Leagues Cup matches this year. Souquet has accumulated sixteen starts overall across all competitions for Chicago Fire in this season.

Andrew Gutman makes his second consecutive start after returning to play against NYCFC; tonight's start marks Gutman's career milestone with his ninety-ninth MLS start.

Tobias Salquist makes his seventh start of this year's MLS regular season while Chris Mueller returns to starting XI for twelfth time since July's encounter against FC Cincinnati.

Federico Navarro also returns as a starter marking it sixth appearance this year having been absent since late May facing Orlando City SC.
