Head Coach Sam Harris and his team have finalized the lineup for the Chicago Hounds' home opener against the New England Free Jacks on Sunday. The match marks week four of the 2024 Major League Rugby season, with Dawg Town welcoming fans back. The event begins with parking at 10:30 AM, gates opening at noon, and the game starting at 1 PM.

In the front row, Zurabi Zhvania and Ignacio Peculo will take their positions as props. Zhvania has scored in consecutive games while Peculo is recognized with an MLR First XV selection. Dylan Fawsitt returns to start as hooker after making an impact off the bench last week.

Fred Apulu moves to the bench following a strong debut start, joined by Charlie Abel and Guillermo Pujadas who also showed promise in previous matches. George Merrick and James Scott continue their partnership in the second row, while Mason Flesch shifts back to blindside flanker.

Mac Jones maintains his place as openside flanker after a standout performance against Old Glory DC. Tinashe Muchena will make his first start of the season at No. 8, replacing Luke White.

Nick McCarthy remains a key player as scrumhalf alongside captain Billy Meakes at flyhalf. Meakes leads several team statistics including carries and tackles. Bryce Campbell holds onto his inside center position for another challenging matchup against New England's Wayne van der Bank.

Mark O’Keeffe returns to outside center aiming for more involvement on offense. Cassh Maluia could be a significant addition off the bench following his debut last week.

The back three consists of Nate Augspurger, Adriaan Carelse, and Dave Kearney. Augspurger and Carelse have been consistent starters while Kearney seeks to build on his debut performance.

Rookie Noah Brown is poised for another appearance from the bench after impressing with his speed during training sessions.

Last season's only meeting between these teams ended with New England winning 31-19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
