Major League Rugby has recognized two players from the Hounds in their Week Five "First XV," a list that acknowledges exceptional performances across the league. Forward Mason Flesch and rookie Noah Brown were honored for their contributions.
Mason Flesch, who played a full 80 minutes, scored his first career MLR try during Saturday's game. He achieved eight carries with 47 meters gained and overcame two defenders. On defense, Flesch successfully completed all 12 of his tackle attempts. This marks his second inclusion in the First XV this season; he was previously selected for his performance in Week 1 against the Miami Sharks.
Noah Brown, playing as a wing, made an impressive impact by scoring two tries and gaining 142 meters on nine carries, averaging 16 meters per carry. He also recorded another clean line break and beat four additional defenders. Over three games, Brown has accumulated 239 meters on 17 carries, beaten eight defenders, achieved two line breaks, and scored two tries.
