Mike Quigley, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, recently shared his views on several key issues via social media. Known for succeeding Rahm Emanuel and serving on the Cook County Board of Commissioners prior to his congressional role, Quigley continues to engage with pressing national matters.

On October 25, 2024, Quigley expressed concern over the potential nationwide restrictions on abortion following the overturning of Roe v. Wade. He stated, "As you can see, Donald Trump and Republican extremists are thrilled about overturning Roe v. Wade. Project 2025 wants to go even further and restrict access to abortion nationwide."

The following day, October 26, he highlighted the economic achievements under the Biden-Harris Administration. In his words: "The success of the Biden-Harris Administration speaks for itself. 16 million jobs have been created—nearly 7 million more than before the pandemic. The economy has grown more than 10% in less than four years, and the stock market has reached record high after record high."

Later that same day, Quigley advocated for environmental conservation through legislative action aimed at protecting bird populations from collisions with buildings. He urged support for his proposed legislation by stating: "By incorporating design features that reduce collisions, we can help save millions of birds each year. Let’s finally pass my legislation, the Bird-Safe Buildings Act, to protect countless birds from this preventable fate."
