Mike Quigley, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, shared several updates on social media on November 1, 2024. Quigley addressed health insurance enrollment, diabetes awareness, and political concerns regarding Project 2025.

On November 1, Quigley announced the commencement of open enrollment for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). He noted that "DACA recipients are eligible for the first time ever!" The enrollment period is open from November 1 to January 15.

In another post on the same day, Quigley highlighted National Diabetes Month. He acknowledged efforts by Democrats to cap insulin costs for seniors at $35 per month. Quigley stated his commitment to continue advocating for reduced prescription drug costs: "I’ll keep fighting to lower prescription drug costs to ensure that every American can lead a healthy life."

Later that day, Quigley expressed concern over an unearthed video featuring former President Trump praising the Heritage Foundation and their Project 2025 initiative. Quigley warned against this project by stating: "We must stop Project 2025."
