He emphasized the need for safety and a swift recovery for those affected by stating, "I’m deeply troubled by this violent incident in our district and am hoping for a swift recovery for those impacted. No one should have to face gun violence while just going about their day. We must keep striving for a safer community."

On November 19, 2024, Quigley posted another tweet that appeared to critique the hiring practices of the Trump administration. He commented on potential employment in the White House with sarcasm: "Want a job in the Trump White House? Requirements: No experience necessary, must be a sycophant."

Later that same day, Quigley addressed transparency concerns regarding an investigation involving Matt Gaetz. He stated his actions towards ensuring public access to information from the House Ethics Committee: "The American people have a right to hear what the House Ethics Committee knows about Matt Gaetz. I just sent a letter to the Ethics Committee demanding they release their report."
