Boyd Memorial Hospital has introduced a mental health program in collaboration with Senior Life Solutions. This initiative targets older adults facing depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues related to aging. The program is hosted at Boyd Memorial Hospital located at 800 School St., Carrollton, IL 62016.

The program provides outpatient services designed for individuals aged 65 and older. It includes group and individual therapy, psychiatric evaluations, and medication management. The team consists of a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapists, a registered nurse, and other professionals focused on the emotional well-being of the elderly community.

The program is beneficial for those experiencing symptoms like changes in appetite, difficulty sleeping, prolonged sadness or grief, and loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It also addresses triggers such as losing a spouse or family member or experiencing traumatic events.

Participants will receive an individual assessment and can attend sessions up to three times per week in a supportive group environment. Teletherapy services are also available for those who prefer receiving support from home via phone, computer, or tablet.

Referrals to the Senior Life Solutions program can be made by individuals themselves or through family members and healthcare professionals.
