Chicago Fire FC has made significant changes to its roster for the upcoming 2025 season. The club has decided to exercise the contract option for goalkeeper Bryan Dowd, ensuring his place in the team for another year. Dowd, originally from Willow Springs, Illinois, was picked sixth overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft and joined Chicago Fire on January 15, 2024. During his loan spell with Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, he started seven matches and achieved one clean sheet.

Conversely, Chicago Fire has opted not to renew contracts for forward Victor Bezerra and midfielder Laurence Wootton. Both players will now enter the pool of eligible selections for the 2024 MSL Re-Entry Draft. Furthermore, forward Missael Rodríguez has been waived by the club and will be available during the 2024 End of Year Waivers.
