Chicago Fire FC has confirmed its participation in the 2025 Coachella Valley Invitational, set to take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The club will face off against other Major League Soccer teams including LAFC, Portland Timbers, San Jose Earthquakes, and LA Galaxy during the preseason tournament.
“We’re excited to participate in the Coachella Valley Invitational as part of our preseason training camp,” said Chicago Fire FC Director of Football and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. “The tournament provides a world-class environment to train and compete against other MLS teams. Playing competitive matches in a fan-facing event will be valuable preparation as we gear up for the 2025 MLS regular season.”
The schedule for Chicago Fire's matches begins with LAFC on February 5 at 3:30 p.m. CT, followed by Portland on February 8 at 4:30 p.m. CT. They will then play against San Jose on February 12 at noon and conclude their games with LA Galaxy on February 15 at 2:00 p.m. CT. Tickets for these matches go on sale from December 18.
This marks the second year Chicago Fire FC will attend this invitational, which hosts a record number of twenty professional men's and women's teams, making it the largest preseason event in North American soccer history.
In addition to providing an opportunity for MLS and NWSL teams to prepare under optimal conditions, the event offers fans unique access to watch prominent players and enjoy exclusive experiences.
MLS clubs participating include Austin FC, Charlotte FC, Chicago Fire FC, LA Galaxy, LAFC, Minnesota United FC, New York City FC, New York Red Bulls, Portland Timbers, Real Salt Lake, San Diego FC, San Jose Earthquakes, St. Louis CITY SC and Sporting Kansas City.
NWSL clubs participating include Angel City FC, Bay FC Houston Dash Portland Thorns San Diego Wave FC Seattle Reign FC
