Chicago Fire FC has ended the loan of forward Dean Boltz to Forward Madison FC, bringing him back to the club ahead of the upcoming MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference semifinal. Boltz, a native of Palatine, Illinois, will join the roster of Chicago Fire FC II for the match against New York Red Bulls II.
Boltz, 19, was selected as the third overall pick in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft and is part of the 2025 Generation adidas class. Before his loan to Forward Madison on August 26, Boltz appeared in 20 matches for Chicago Fire II during the 2025 season, starting 11 times and recording three goals and one assist.
Before joining Chicago Fire FC, Boltz played collegiate soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he started all 15 games he played for the Badgers. During his time there, he received several honors, including All-Big Ten Second Team, All Freshman Team, and United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Region for the Men’s All-North Region.
Chicago Fire FC II is set to compete in its second consecutive MLS NEXT Pro Eastern Conference semifinal. The match will take place on Sunday, October 26, at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, New Jersey, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. Central Time. The MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs are available globally through MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
