CALL TO ORDER – At 4:09 PM, Deputy Clerk Austin called to order the Regular Meeting of the Fire Police Commission at City Hall, 8 N Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070.
ROLL CALL – Deputy Clerk Austin called roll. A quorum was present. COMMISSIONER'S PRESENT - Chairman Hoffman, Commissioner Fiorito COMMISSIONER'S ABSENT - Commissioner Riebman
OTHER OFFICIALS PRESENT - Chief Caponigro, Deputy Clerk Austin
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Approval of the October 23, 2024 Fire Police Commission Minutes
Commissioner Fiorito moved to approve the October 23, 2024 Fire Police Commission Minutes as presented; seconded by Chairman Hoffman. There was unanimous approval
ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - Hoffman, Fiorito
NAYS - None
ABSENT - Riebman
Motion carried 2-0, one absent.
CLOSED SESSION – At 4:11 PM Chairman Hoffman moved to go into Closed Session pursuant to Section 2 (c) 5 ILCS 120/2 (c): Employment Matters; seconded by Commissioner Fiorito. There was unanimous approval.
ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - Hoffman, Fiortio
NAYS - None
ABSENT - Riebman
Motion carried 2 – 0, one absent.
RETURN TO OPEN SESSION - At 4:16 PM Chairman Hoffman moved to return to Open Session; seconded by Commissioner Fiorito. There was unanimous approval.

NEW BUSINESS
A. Authorization to the Police Chief to continue to make conditional offer to lateral police officer next candidate on the list until a candidate accepts the conditional offer Chairman Hoffman moved to approve authorization to the Police Chief to continue to make conditional offer to lateral police officer next candidate on the list until a candidate accepts the conditional offer; seconded by Commissioner Fiorito. There was unanimous approval.

OLD BUSINESS - Chief Caponigro spoke on how the Food Drive event went over the past few weeks.
DEPARTMENTAL UPDATES/CORRESPONDENCE – Chief Caponigro gives an update on where the department is with the body worn camera training. Chief also talked about how the redaction process will look like and some of the issues that might arise.
PUBLIC COMMENT – None
The Next Regular Meeting of the Fire Police Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 4 PM, City Hall, 8 North Elmhurst Road, Prospect Heights, IL 60070.
ADJOURNMENT – At 4:26 PM, Chairman Hoffman moved to Adjourn; seconded by Commissioner Fiorito. There was unanimous approval.
