The Chicago Hounds have announced a new broadcast partnership with Fox Chicago Plus for the 2025 Major League Rugby season. This collaboration is seen as a significant step for the rugby team, enhancing their visibility and strengthening ties with fans in the Chicagoland area.

Starting in February, Fox Chicago Plus (Channel 50) will air live broadcasts of 15 regular season games featuring the Chicago Hounds. This network serves the greater Chicagoland area, offering local sports broadcasts alongside news coverage and weather updates.

“We are thrilled to partner with Fox Chicago Plus and bring the excitement of the Chicago Hounds to homes across the greater Chicagoland area,” stated James English, CEO and General Manager of the Hounds. “This partnership will allow us to further engage with our loyal fanbase and showcase the Hounds’ style of rugby to an even larger audience.”

Sheila Oliver, SVP and General Manager of FOX Chicago and FOX Chicago Plus, expressed her enthusiasm: “We are delighted for the Chicago Hounds to join the FOX Chicago family. We welcome the vibrant Chicago rugby community and are excited to get in the scrum.”

The 2025 season for the Hounds begins on February 15 with an away game against Houston Sabercats. They will then return home on February 23 to face off against Utah Warriors at SeatGeek Stadium.

Fox Television Stations owns WFLD FOX 32 and WPWR FOX Chicago Plus among others, operating stations in major U.S. markets including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. These stations produce over 1,200 hours of local news weekly while distributing various content types.
