Chicago Mayor’s office releases new gift-receiving protocols

The Mayor's Office in Chicago has made public the protocols for gifts received on behalf of the city. These guidelines are now accessible to everyone at Chicago.gov/gifts.

These procedures are in accordance with the Government Ethics Ordinance and aim to clarify how the Mayor’s Office handles and reports gifts received on behalf of the City of Chicago.

Citizens can view both a log of gifts and a video showing the gift inventory area by visiting Chicago.gov/gifts.
