The letter condemned Trump's remarks about having the U.S. "own" Gaza and emphasized the importance of focusing on creating lasting peace rather than displacing Palestinians living there. "This week, I joined 145 of my colleagues in sending a letter to President Trump condemning his reckless remarks calling for the U.S. to 'own' Gaza. He should focus on creating a lasting peace in the region, not permanently displacing over 2 million Palestinians in Gaza."
