Dylan Fawsitt is poised to make history as Major League Rugby's first centurion when he takes the field for the Chicago Hounds' 2025 home opener. The 34-year-old hooker will be the first player in the league's history to reach 100 games.
Fawsitt has been a standout player since MLR's inception in 2018, leading in both appearances and tries scored. He earned First-Team All-Pro honors in multiple years and was part of Rugby New York's title-winning campaign in 2022.
His journey began with the Glendale Raptors during MLR’s inaugural season, where he played on loan from Rugby United New York. Despite a strong season, his team fell short in the final against Seattle Seawolves. Fawsitt then returned to New York, where he continued to excel, earning several All-Pro nods and contributing significantly to his team's successes.
In 2024, Fawsitt joined the Chicago Hounds and quickly made an impact by tying for league-high tries scored. His consistent performance earned him another First-Team All-Pro selection.
As club captain for 2025, Fawsitt started strong with a win over Houston Sabercats, scoring his 56th career try. With 99 caps already under his belt, he leads MLR leaderboards in several categories including tackles and meters gained.
Fawsitt’s upcoming game marks a significant milestone as he becomes the first player to play 100 career games in Major League Rugby. Known as "The Butcher," his career remains one of the most distinguished in league history.
