Later that day, Quigley expressed his views on international politics with a tweet about Russia's leadership under Vladimir Putin. He remarked that "Putin’s grip on power is built upon violence and lies. No amount of appeasement can change that. The world is looking to the U.S. for leadership. The decisions we make for Ukraine will reverberate for generations. We must choose to stand for democracy - not bow to autocracy."
