On March 6, 2025, Quigley criticized the Trump administration's decision to revoke protective status for refugees, particularly targeting 240,000 Ukrainians fleeing conflict. In another post dated March 7, 2025, Quigley expressed concerns over proposals to dismantle the Department of Education. He argued that such actions would harm educational advancements nationwide by stating: "Dismantling the Department of Education will not 'send education back to the states'. It will destroy an agency responsible for funding research that improves the state of education nationwide."
