The Chicago Fire FC is set to face FC Dallas in the Brimstone Cup at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Gregg Berhalter, the Fire's Director of Football & Head Coach, has announced the starting lineup for this match, which marks his third game in charge and the start of a three-game road trip. Notably, Brian Gutiérrez returns to the lineup after missing a previous match due to suspension. He aims to build on his season-opening performance that earned him a spot on MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 1.

Omari Glasgow is set to make his first MLS career start on the right wing, replacing injured Philip Zinckernagel. Glasgow has appeared as a substitute in both games this season and will join Jonathan Bamba on the front line. Hugo Cuypers continues as striker after scoring twice against D.C. United last Saturday, earning a place on the MLS Team of the Matchday bench for Matchday 2.

Goalkeeper Chris Brady also returns for his third start this year after making five saves against D.C. United's attack last week. Sam Rogers will make his second appearance and start as center back alongside Jack Elliott, who assisted Cuypers' first goal of the season.

Jonathan Dean and Andrew Gutman remain consistent choices as fullbacks, having played every minute so far this season. However, several players are unavailable due to injuries or other reasons including Carlos Terán, Chase Gasper, Dylan Borso, Maren Haile-Selassie, Rominigue Kouamé, David Poreba, and Chris Mueller.
