Mike Quigley, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, has recently shared his views on various global and domestic issues through a series of tweets. Quigley, who succeeded Rahm Emanuel in Congress and previously served on the Cook County Board of Commissioners, addressed topics ranging from international conflicts to local legislative efforts.

On March 8, 2025, Quigley expressed his perspective on the ongoing conflict involving Russia. He stated that "Every decision Putin made led to this brutal war, but the responsibility to end it falls on the entire free world. We must work toward a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and defeat a ruthless dictator."

Later that day, Quigley highlighted his support for educational and religious safety by announcing his co-sponsorship of legislation aimed at protecting sensitive locations from immigration enforcement activities. He tweeted: "No one should be afraid to attend school or church. That’s why I’m a proud cosponsor of the Protecting Sensitive Locations Act, which would codify the humane policy the U.S. had for years keeping ICE agents out of places like schools, hospitals, & places of worship."

In recognition of International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, Quigley reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for women's rights globally. He stated: "On International Women’s Day, I recommit to fighting for all women and girls across the globe. All women, regardless of birthplace or nationality, deserve a world where they can thrive."
