Chicago Fire FC secured a 3-1 victory against FC Dallas on Saturday at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Hugo Cuypers scored his third goal of the season, while defender Andrew Gutman and debutant Leonardo Barroso also found the net for Chicago.

The match began with both teams struggling to score in cold, rainy conditions. Cuypers nearly opened the scoring in the ninth minute, but his attempt was flagged offside. Dallas forward Peter Musa faced a similar fate in the 13th minute when his goal was ruled offside.

Dallas took the lead in the 58th minute through Logan Farrington, who capitalized on a long ball from Anderson Julio. The Fire equalized in the 82nd minute when Barroso assisted Cuypers, who set up Gutman for a goal.

Two minutes later, Brian Gutiérrez's shot led to Barroso scoring his first MLS goal after Paes failed to secure it. Cuypers added another from a penalty kick after being tripped inside the box.

Dallas had a chance to reduce the deficit with a late penalty kick, but Chris Brady saved Musa's shot, ensuring Chicago's win and retaining the Brimstone Cup.

Chicago will next face Toronto FC on March 15 at BMO Field. The game will be broadcast globally on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and locally via wlsam.com and Que Buena 105.1 through the Uforia app.

Leonardo Barroso made an impactful MLS debut by scoring shortly after entering as a substitute. Omari Glasgow started his first MLS game and nearly scored before being substituted. Goalkeeper Chris Brady recorded his first MLS penalty save during stoppage time.

Cuypers matched his last season's goal tally within just three games this year. Andrew Gutman scored his first goal of this season and remains one of three players who have played every minute for Chicago so far.
