Chicago Fire FC II secured a 1-0 victory over Toronto FC II at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. The match saw Chicago's Bryce Richards score his first goal in MLS NEXT Pro, while goalkeeper Patrick Los achieved his first clean sheet of the year and the fifth of his career.

The first half was marked by cautious play from both teams. In the 20th minute, Claudio Cassano was fouled just outside the box. He took a free kick that was narrowly saved by Toronto's goalkeeper Adessa de Rosario. Later, a set piece for Toronto led to a shot from Charles Sharp, which Los managed to tip away. Michael Sullivan attempted to capitalize on the rebound, but Los made another crucial save.

As full-time approached, Chicago intensified their attack. In the 83rd minute, Jhoiner Montiel passed to Diego Konincks who quickly relayed it to Peter Soudan on the wing. Soudan crossed the ball into the box where Richards headed it into an open net, securing the win for Chicago Fire FC II.

The team will now prepare for their upcoming road trip against FC Cincinnati 2 on March 30 at NKU Soccer Stadium in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
