CHICAGO (March 14, 2025) – Chicago Fire FC II announced that midfielder Harold Osorio has been selected for the El Salvador National Team's upcoming friendly matches in March. This marks Osorio's first call-up under new head coach Darío Gómez.
The team will face Houston Dynamo on March 19 at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston and LigaMX club Pachuca on March 22 at Estadio Nacional Jorge González in San Salvador. The kickoff time for the match against Pachuca is yet to be confirmed.
El Salvador is gearing up for the second round of FIFA World Cup Qualifiers scheduled for June, where they will compete against Anguilla on June 7 and Suriname on June 10.
Osorio, aged 21, rejoins the senior national team after last participating in November 2023 friendlies against Curaçao, both ending in a 1-1 draw. He debuted with the national team in August 2021 during a scoreless draw with Costa Rica and has since earned eight caps. Additionally, he captained El Salvador's U-20 National Team during the 2022 CONCACAF U-20 Men’s Championship.
Recently, Osorio made his Major League Soccer debut on March 1 against D.C. United while playing under a Short-Term Agreement from Chicago Fire II. He substituted for captain Kellyn Acosta during stoppage time at Soldier Field.
